Qur'an 2:248 · 9:26 · 9:40 · 48:4 · 48:18 · 48:26

1) And their prophet said to them: The sign of his kingship is that the ark will come to you, in which is tranquility (sakīnah) from your Lord and a remnant of what the family of Moses and the family of Aaron left behind, carried by the angels. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers. — Sūrah al-Baqarah 2:248
2) Then Allah sent down His tranquility upon His Messenger and upon the believers, and sent down soldiers you did not see, and He punished those who disbelieved. And that is the recompense of the disbelievers. — Sūrah at-Tawbah 9:26
3) If you do not aid him — Allah has already aided him when those who disbelieved drove him out, being one of two, when they were in the cave, and he said to his companion: Grieve not, indeed Allah is with us. And Allah sent down His tranquility upon him and supported him with soldiers you did not see, and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowest, while the word of Allah — that is the highest. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise. — Sūrah at-Tawbah 9:40
4) It is He who sent down tranquility into the hearts of the believers that they may increase in faith along with their faith. And to Allah belong the armies of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is ever Knowing and Wise. — Sūrah al-Fatḥ 48:4
5) Certainly Allah was pleased with the believers when they pledged allegiance to you under the tree, and He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down tranquility upon them and rewarded them with a near victory. — Sūrah al-Fatḥ 48:18
6) When those who disbelieved put into their hearts chauvinism — the chauvinism of the days of ignorance — Allah sent down His tranquility upon His Messenger and upon the believers and imposed upon them the word of righteousness, and they were more deserving of it and worthy of it. And Allah is Knowing of all things. — Sūrah al-Fatḥ 48:26
The six āyāt of the Qur'an known as Ayāt as-Sakīnah — the verses of tranquility — gathered from Sūrah al-Baqarah 2:248, at-Tawbah 9:26 and 9:40, and al-Fatḥ 48:4, 48:18, and 48:26. Each verse mentions Allah sending down sakīnah — calm, tranquility, and peace — upon the hearts of His Messenger ﷺ and the believers. Recited by the pious to seek Allah's tranquility in times of anxiety, fear, and distress.
